Fish Monitoring with AECOM Consultants

The Kahnawà:ke Environment Protection Office (KEPO) wishes to advise the community that fish sampling work will be done in collaboration with AECOM and Jacques-Cartier & Champlain Bridges, Inc. on September 1st and 2nd (Thursday and Friday).
Sampling will include electrofishing in the St. Lawrence River and Seaway by the Mercier Bridge and at the mouth of the Little Suzanne River and the R-132 Drainage Creek.
All healthy native fish will be released. The crew will also collect macroinvertebrates (worms, crustaceans, insect larvae) from the sediment of the River.
