Kahnawake Cultural Arts Center website goes live

The Building Committee for the Kahnaw�:ke Cultural Arts Center (a.k.a. Kahnaw�:ke Multi-Purpose Building) is proud to announce the launch of its new website, which will provide information and updates related to its activities on the future construction of the facility.

The project began as a need for a permanent home for the Kanien�keh�:ka Raotiti�hkwa Language & Cultural Center (KORLCC � Cultural Center and Museum). It grew quickly with the addition of an auditorium for the Turtle Island Theatre group, as they also needed a permanent home. Kahnawake Tourism was also added as a fundamental partner to be part of the building.

A partnership was created between KORLCC, Turtle Island Theatre, Tourism, and the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (The Partners). This relationship is the heart of this project, as The Partners will make the decisions on all the developments to ensure a collaborative approach to making this project a reality.
