Nitsenhaienhs attending AFNQL Chiefs Assembly

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke would like to advise the community that Oh�n:ton �:iente ne Ratits�nhaienhs (Grand Chief) Kahsennenhawe Sky-Deer and Rats�nhaienhs (Chief) Ryan Montour are attending the Assembly of First Nations Quebec-Labrador (AFNQL) Chiefs Assembly, north of Quebec City.

The agenda includes Housing, Infrastructure, Intergovernmental Relations, Justice, and a meet & greet with the Quebec Minister Responsible for Native Affairs, Ian Lafreniere, to name a few.

A panel discussion on Public Safety issues with Chief Peacekeeper Dwayne Zacharie is also on today�s agenda.

The AFNQL Chiefs Assembly began today and ends on Thursday. The Nits�nhaienhs will return to the office on Friday.
