Indian Day School deadline of January 13, 2023 approaching

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke wishes to remind the community that the Indian Day School (IDS) Settlement Agreement deadline is fast approaching, with less than a month remaining to submit a claim. As a part of this extended deadline, a Claimant must also complete the following form: "Request for Deadline Extension Form," along with the IDS application form at https://indiandayschools.com/en/wp-content/uploads\IDS-Deadline-Extension-Request-Form-EN.pdf.

Copies of the IDS Application Form are also available online or can be picked up at MCK′s Settlement Advisor Louise Mayo′s IDS office (contact 514-793-0662 or email louise.mayo@mck.ca). Ms. Mayo is advising claimants that she will continue to be available to provide assistance with filing individual or estate claims up until the deadline date.

Please note: The Request for Deadline Extension Forms and IDS Claims deadline is Friday, January 13, 2023, at 11:59pm Pacific Standard Time. All claims must be received by the Administrator by the Claims Deadline. It is the Claimants′ responsibility to ensure their claim meets the deadline.
