Freezing Rain Warning in Effect

The Public Safety Division of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke wishes to notify the community that a Freezing Rain Warning is in effect for our area. 

An ice accumulation of 2 to 5 millimeters is expected Wednesday evening into Thursday morning.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways, and parking lots will become icy, slippery, and hazardous. There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic in urban areas.

Although the Public Safety Division is confident that community members will adjust their travel accordingly, this is a friendly reminder to maintain a healthy awareness of weather conditions.
