01/25/2023
The Public Safety Division of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke is advising community members that Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for our region.
Snow with total amounts of 15 to 25 centimeters will begin this evening, with moderate winds causing blowing snow.
Conditions are expected to improve through the day on Thursday.
Be prepared for changing weather and road conditions, along with reduced visibility. Consider delaying travel plans and expect delays during tomorrow morning’s rush hour.
Additionally, Public Safety would like to remind Kahnawa’kehró:non to check in on your elders, and clear stairs and pathways of any snow.
Please monitor local media for updated weather forecasts.
