Rats�nhaienhs Montour attending AFN Special Chiefs Assembly

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke wishes to inform the community that Rats�nhaienhs Ross Montour is attending the Assembly of First Nations Special Chiefs Assembly (SCA), which begins today in Ottawa.

Chiefs and technicians from across the country will be present to hear Canada�s current draft National Action Plan to implement the United Nations Declaration On The Rights Of Indigenous Peoples in Canada and to review, debate, and recommend content and recommendations for inclusion in Canada�s final National Action Plan.

Rats�nhaienhs Montour will be accompanied by Chief Political Advisor Winona Polson-Lahache. The SCA concludes on Thursday, April 6. Both Montour and Polson-Lahache return to the office on Tuesday, April 11, following the long holiday weekend.
