Rats�nhaienhs Ross Montour attending Archaeologists Conference

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) wishes to inform the community that Rats�nhaienhs Ross Montour will be participating in this weekend�s 40th Edition of the Association of Quebec Archaeologists Conference in Mont-Tremblant.
�We will be making a presentation on the Tio�tia:ke Project,� said Rats�nhaienhs Ross Montour, who holds the Indigenous Rights & Research Portfolio. �The MCK has been working in partnership with the University of Montreal and the Pointe-�-Calli�re Museum on the Tio�tia:ke Project, which is aimed at establishing our territorial presence along the St. Lawrence River and the site once visited by explorer Jacques Cartier in the 16th century.�
Also attending the conference will be MCK�s Archaeology Technicians Katsitsahente Cross-Delisle and Kelly Marquis and Archaeology Consultant Gaetan Nolet.
The conference begins today (Friday) and goes until Sunday, April 30th, 2023.
Rats�nhaienhs Ross Montour returns to the office on Monday, May 1, 2023.
