Peacekeepers Warning of Telephone Scam

The Kahnawake Peacekeepers would like to advise the community that we have received a report of community members being contacted by persons identifying themselves as RCMP officers and attempting to recruit the resident into helping them with a �Sting Operation� in conjunction with Visa.

The targeted individual is asked to purchase $2500 worth of gift cards and they will be reimbursed. This is a scam.

We are reminding community members that the RCMP and Visa do not do business in this manner. Please do not provide any information to or make any purchases for any unsolicited caller or online entity.
