MCK Consultation Committee seeks participants for Ecological Knowledge Advisory Circle

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawake (MCK) Consultation Committee wishes to invite interested community members to participate in the creation of an Ecological Knowledge Advisory Circle (EKAC). 

The EKAC will be made up of community members to provide traditional, historical, and current knowledge and guidance to the MCK Consultation Committee, related to land use and occupancy within the Traditional Territory of the Kahnawake. The establishment of the Circle is in response to an increased demand for consultations on projects located within the Traditional Territory, impacts to rights studies, and local environmental issues required to be addressed by the MCK.

Meeting schedule and frequency will be determined based on need and availability, and members will be compensated for their time.
