Overnight work – Mercier Bridge and R132 - R138 west Service Road Closure
05/30/2023
The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) has been informed by the Ministère des Transports du Québec that inspection work will require a lane closure on the Kahnawà:ke-bound Mercier Bridge (between Lasalle & the first superstructure) tonight (Tuesday) from 9pm until Wednesday 5am and Thursday from 9pm until Friday 5am.
Additionally, the Jacques-Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated has informed the MCK that work to install platforms under the Mercier Bridge will require the COMPLETE CLOSURE of the R-132/R-138 west (under the span) Wednesday (May 31) & Thursday (June 1) from 9am until 3pm, both days.
See the map below.
IMPORTANT! A detour will be in place. If you miss the detour, you will be forced to take the R-132 west up-ramp towards Montreal and make a U-turn at the Clement Street exit in Lasalle and back towards the Kahnawà:ke-bound Mercier Bridge.
Please drive with caution and slow down when entering construction zones and respect the Move-Over Law when you see flashing lights.
The MCK reminds the public that these works are subject to change due to weather conditions, operational constraints, or work progression and that it does not take part in the scheduling or cancellation of such works.
