MCK Hires Director of Human Resources

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) is pleased to inform the community that Joni Diabo has been selected as the new Director of Human Resources (HR). Diabo will join the MCK family on Monday, June 26, 2023.

An accomplished Senior Human Resources Business Partner, Diabo brings knowledge and expertise in human resources delivery and implementation. She has a Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science with a minor in Sociology.

�Joni�s background and experience in Human Resource strategy and operations make her highly qualified for this role,� said Executive Operations Officer Alan John Rice. �We are excited to welcome her to the Team.�

Since November 2022, the HR unit has been under the direction of the Executive Administrative Officer until May of this year, when Dawn Marquis-Deere was seconded as Interim HR Unit Director. After an orientation and brief transition for Diabo, Marquis-Deere will resume her position as Director of Strategic Planning and Organizational Change Management.
