Tornado Watch in effect for the Montreal Region

The Public Safety Division of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke would like to advise the community that Environment Canada has issued a Tornado Watch for the region of Montreal.

Weather conditions are favorable for the development of severe thunderstorms, that could bring heavy rain, strong winds, and large hail, with the potential to produce tornadoes.

In the event of a tornado, or if a tornado warning is issued, it is recommended you seek shelter in a room without windows, basement, stairwell, or interior closet.

If outside in a trailer, tent, or camping, move to a strong building if possible. If that�s not possible, lay on a low spot and protect your head from flying objects.
