Ratsenhaienhs Stephen McComber and delegation from Kahnawake visiting Oneida Nation in Wisconsin

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) would like to inform the community that Rats�nhaienhs Stephen McComber and a delegation from Kahnaw�:ke are visiting the Oneida Nation in Wisconsin. They will be taking part in tours of the community and participating in workshops related to the Food Sovereignty Portfolio.

�We are here to see their facilities, exchange information, and knowledge in the area of food sovereignty and sustainable development,� said Rats�nhaienhs Stephen McComber. �This week-long visit is a fact-finding mission of sorts, to learn more about their food security initiative, which has been in place for the past 40 years. I would like to thank the Oneida Nation, Kahnaw�:ke Shakotiia�takehnhas Community Services (KSCS), and Kahnaw�:ke Collective Impact (KCI) for making this trip possible.�

The delegation is comprised of six (6) community members, including representatives from KCI, and the Three Sisters Garden Group. All costs are being covered by a generous donation from KSCS and organized by KCI.

Rats�nhaienhs Stephen McComber is expected back in the office on Monday, July 24, 2023.
