KEPO Seeking company for Boulder Excavation in Recreation Bay

The Kahnaw�:ke Environment Protection Office (KEPO) is seeking an independent contractor to perform boulder excavation work at Recreation Bay.

During the dredging phase of the Tekakwitha Island and Recreation Bay Restoration Project, an underwater road consisting of stones and boulders was discovered. Removal and disposal of this road is now required.

The successful contractor will remove approximately 1,000 m3 of boulder and granular material from below the water surface accessed with a barge(s), dispose of the material offsite at an approved facility, and restore the area to its original condition.
