Iroquois Caucus meetings taking place in Kahnawake next week

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke wishes to inform the community that the Iroquois Caucus will meet in Kahnaw�:ke on Wednesday and Thursday, August 9 & 10, 2023.

Agenda items include:

• Blackfoot Confederacy
• AFNQL & Chiefs of Ontario
• Memorandum of Understanding � Kahnaw�:ke & Akwesasne
• Federal legislation � Metis rights
• Great Lakes/St. Lawrence Cities Initiative
• Iroquois Caucus Health/Mental Health Table

Oh�n:ton �:iente ne Ratits�nhaienhs Kahsennenhawe Sky-Deer, along with Ratits�nhaienhs Ross Montour, Jessica Lazare, Tonya Perron, and Iohah�:io Delisle will attend.

The meetings will take place at the Mystic Pines Golf Club.

The Iroquois Caucus was created in 2007 and consists of elected Councils from Kahnaw�:ke, Akwesasne, Kanehsat�:ke, Tyendinaga, Wahta, Six Nations, and the Oneida Nation of the Thames.
