Iroquois Caucus meetings taking place in Kahnawake next week

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke wishes to inform the community that the Iroquois Caucus will meet in Kahnawà:ke on Wednesday and Thursday, August 9 & 10, 2023.

Agenda items include:

• Blackfoot Confederacy
• AFNQL & Chiefs of Ontario
• Memorandum of Understanding – Kahnawà:ke & Akwesasne
• Federal legislation – Metis rights
• Great Lakes/St. Lawrence Cities Initiative
• Iroquois Caucus Health/Mental Health Table

Ohén:ton Í:iente ne Ratitsénhaienhs Kahsennenhawe Sky-Deer, along with Ratitsénhaienhs Ross Montour, Jessica Lazare, Tonya Perron, and Iohahí:io Delisle will attend.

The meetings will take place at the Mystic Pines Golf Club.

The Iroquois Caucus was created in 2007 and consists of elected Councils from Kahnawà:ke, Akwesasne, Kanehsatà:ke, Tyendinaga, Wahta, Six Nations, and the Oneida Nation of the Thames.
