Animal Control Law Feedback Report available for viewing

The Kahnawà:ke Legislative Commission wishes to inform the community that the Feedback Report for the Kahnawà:ke Animal Control Law (The Law) amendments is now available for viewing.

The feedback was compiled during the 30-day review period from July 6 to August 4, 2023.

The Law was enacted on September 17, 1964, to regulate loose dogs to protect the health and safety of the community. Currently, the purpose of the amendments is to allow greater enforceability of the Law and to enhance and adapt the Law to reflect the current needs of the community.
