Masking now required in Medical Transport vehicles

10/25/2023

Forwarded on behalf of the Kahnawake Fire Brigade

The Medical Transport Division of the Kahnawake Fire Brigade wishes to inform its users that, due to an outbreak of COVID among drivers, masking will now be required for the safety of all clients and drivers until further notice.

Currently, nearly half of the transport providers have tested positive. As this is the case, please expect that there could be delays in services.

COVID spreads from an infected person to others through respiratory droplets and aerosols (smaller droplets) created when an infected person breathes, coughs, sneezes, sings, shouts, or even talks.

As the services provided happen in the confined space of the vehicle, we are asking for your cooperation to ensure the health and safety of all our drivers and clients, many of whom belong to vulnerable population groups.

The Kahnawake Fire Brigade appreciates everyone′s patience as we all go through this together. If you have questions, please contact the Firehall at 450-632-2010.
