Rats�nhaienhs Cody Diabo attending National Climate Summit

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke wishes to inform the community that Rats�nhaienhs Cody Diabo will be travelling to Ottawa, Ontario to attend Climate Proof Canada�s National Climate Adaptation Summit today.

Also expected to be in attendance will be Federal Minister of Environment, The Honorable Stephen Guilbeault, and the Minister of Infrastructures and Housing, The Honorable Sean Fraser. The Summit will bring leaders, environmental groups, business associations, and other national stakeholders together to talk about issues concerning the climate.

As part of the Summit, Diabo will be part of a select group attending a round table discussion led by the Minister of Indigenous Services, and the Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Northern Ontario, The Honorable Patti Hajdu.

Diabo is expected to return to the office on Friday November 3, 2023.
