Dreams Take Flight Returns

11/07/2023

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw:ke (MCK) is pleased to announce that after a three-year COVID pause, Air Canada′s Dreams Take Flight takes to the sky again tomorrow, Wednesday, November 8.

This year, six (6) children from Kahnaw:ke and four (4) from Akwesasne will be on the special Air Canada flight to Orlando, Florida, to spend a day at Disney World. For the first time, Kahnawake Peacekeeper M.J. McComber will participate as one of many adult chaperones accompanying the children.

"Dreams Take Flight was created for kids who wouldn′t normally get a chance to take such a spectacular and fun trip," said Ken Bourque. Mr. Bourque is a retired MCK employee and former Air Canada employee who was instrumental in getting the MCK involved. "Everything we do on this day is for the kids. We want them to feel special and it′s been a great success over the years!"

The Flight will depart Montreal at 6am and is expected to return to Montreal in the early morning hours of Thursday, November 9, at around 1am.
