R-132 R-138 West Service Road Closure

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawake (MCK) has been informed by The Jacques-Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated that work to dismantle platforms under the Mercier Bridge will require the COMPLETE CLOSURE of the R-132/R-138 West Service Rd (under the span) Tuesday and Wednesday (December 19 & 20) from 9am until 3pm, both days. In case of poor weather this closure may also take place on Thursday December 21.

The detour for this closure will be via the R-132 west up-ramp towards Montreal to the Clement Street exit in Lasalle, and back towards the Kahnawake-bound Mercier Bridge.

Local motorists heading towards R-138 are urged to use the OMH exit, or they will be forced to utilize the detour over the bridge.

Please drive with caution and slow down when entering construction zones, respect the Move-Over Law when you see flashing lights.

The MCK reminds the public that these works are subject to change due to weather conditions, operational constraints, or work progression and that it does not take part in the scheduling or cancellation of such works.
