Be a team player- keep our winter sports areas litter-free

The Sports and Recreation Unit (SRU) of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke, are requesting the assistance of the community to keep the winter sports facilities tidy. The SRU maintenance team works diligently to keep the areas around the rinks and recreation areas free from trash and debris and has noted a rise in discarded items left around the shared spaces.

"Let′s work together to keep our sports facilities clean and maintained as a source of pride for the entire community," said Director of SRU Roiatate Horn. "These are shared spaces that the entire community use; a neat and litter-free facility is something we can all be proud of."

Trash and recycling bins are strategically placed around the facilities for just that reason. When you need to refuel or take a break, please toss your trash and recycle where it belongs, or better yet, bring a reusable bottle to reduce waste.
