Weekend Closure of R-132 West Service Road

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawake (MCK) has been informed by the Ministere des Transports du Quebec that repaving work will require the complete closure of R-132/R-138 West Service Road (from Ste-Catherine/St. Constant towards Chateauguay) from Friday, May 10 at 10pm until Monday, May 13 at 5am. (See map below).
All access roads to and from R-132/R-138 West will also be closed, including the pedestrian crosswalk & path under the Mercier Bridge.
This phase of work is part of the R-132 repaving project, which began last Fall and is expected to be completed mid-July 2024.
Detour:
FOR LOCAL RESIDENTS ONLY: Use the Old Depot Rd/Old Malone Highway
ALL OTHER TRAFFIC: R-132 West up ramp towards Montreal,
U-turn at Clement/rue St. Patrick/R-138 (exit #2), R-138 west to the Kahnawà:ke-bound Mercier Bridge to R-138 West (direction Chateauguay).
Motorists heading West from R-132 (Ste-Catherine/St. Constant/Delson) are being advised to use A-730 to R-138 in Chateauguay.
NOTE: R-207 North from A-30 will be limited to local traffic only.
This closure may be postponed or delayed due to poor weather conditions, operational constraints, work on the Mercier Bridge or Ville-St. Pierre Interchange.
Please drive with caution, slow down when entering construction zones, and respect the Move-Over Law when you see flashing lights.
