Kahnawake Hosts Iroquois Caucus General Assembly

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawake wishes to inform the community that the Iroquois Caucus will meet in Kahnawake on Wednesday and Thursday, May 29 and 30, 2024.
Wednesday’s meeting will consist of a relationship-building meeting with representatives of the Blackfoot Confederacy, and Thursday’s General Assembly agenda will include:
- Canada Pension Plan Presentation
- Great Lakes Adaption Management
- Harvesting Summit Update
- Jay Treaty Border Alliance Updates
The Iroquois Caucus was created in 2007 and consists of elected Councils from Kahnawà:ke, Akwesasne, Kanehsatà:ke, Tyendinaga, Wahta, Six Nations, and the Oneida Nation of the Thames.
The two full-day meetings will be attended by several of the Ratitsénhaienhs, as scheduling permits. As is customary, members of the host community are welcome to attend Thursday’s General Assembly, which will take place in the TwoOSeven Steakhouse meeting room starting at 9am.
