MCK Addresses School Bus Incident

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) Public Works Unit�s Daily Transportation Department (Daily Transportation) would like to respond to community concerns regarding an incident that occurred between a bus monitor and student on a school bus run on June 4, 2024.

We want to assure parents that the situation has been dealt with and that the safety of our children is paramount. We appreciate that many parents have reached out and shown their concern and that, while incidents may at times occur, Daily Transportation is committed to addressing any issues quickly and responsibly.

�We take our role of transporting children to and from school very seriously,� said Spencer McComber, Daily Transportation Coordinator. �It�s important for us to let the community know this, as they trust us with their children each and every day. We also want to take this opportunity on behalf of the MCK to apologize for any concerns that the incident created.�
