School bus accident on Highway 20 East - no children injured

The Public Works Daily Transportation Department of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke would like to update the community on an incident that took place this morning involving a local school bus. At approximately 8:05am, Kuper bus #22 was involved in an accident on Highway 20 East. Six children were on board at the time of the accident. Fortunately there were no injuries, and the parents have been notified.

The accident was caused by a reckless driver, and all necessary steps have been taken to address the situation.

As a result of the accident, the bus is currently undergoing repairs. During this time, parents are requested to transport their children′s oversized equipment to and from school.
