Mercier Bridge Access Ramp Closure

06/05/2009

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke wishes to inform the community that Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) and Transport Québec will close the Mercier Bridge access ramp coming from La Prairie beginning 7 am, Saturday June 6th to 10 pm, Sunday June 7th.

Motorists coming from route 132 will use the connecting road under the bridge to access the route 207 turnaround allowing them Montreal-bound access to the bridge. Proper road signalization will be erected marking alternate routes. (download pdf to view map)

The purpose of the work is to relocate the traffic control cabin currently located at the junction of the 132 and 138 ramps.

To avoid congestion on Route 207, there will be an additional closure to the access ramp of Route 207 on Highway 30 during this same period.
