Seigneury Report Made Available to Community

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) has announced that the final report on the Seigneury of Sault St. Louis that it commissioned in 2007 is now available to the public.

The report contains community members’ opinions on what type(s) of compensation they would like to see upon settlement of the Seigneury land grievance.

The document was independently prepared by the Ratirhiwaro:roks Seigneury Community Group and presented to Chief & Council, for the second time, on 8 Ohiarí:ha/June for formal acceptance.
