Tiower�:ton Rehabilitation Work

The Lands Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke would like to inform the community on the status of rehabilitation work to washed-out roads, the first bridge and parking area (beside the Falls) in the Tiower�:ton Territory.

The majority of roads have been repaired and are in good condition with the exception of the Fire Road, which still has a few areas that are washed out. The deck of the first bridge was repaired and the road to the Falls is now accessible. Additionally, the parking area beside the Falls is now restored and all the main roads were graded.

On June 30th, Tiower�:ton saw torrential rains that caused damage to several roads, the first bridge and the parking area beside the Falls.
