Mercier Bridge: Major Detour to Access Bridge September 4 to 7

09/03/2009

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke would like to inform all Kahnawa’kehró:non that the 132 down ramp towards La Prairie will be completely closed to traffic from 10pm, Friday, September 4th until 5am, Monday, September 7th.

From Montreal, those heading towards La Prairie must take the exit ramp towards Châteauguay (Route 138), then use the Route 207 exit (St. Isadore Road) to return to Route 138 heading towards La Prairie via the access road connecting Route 138 and Route 132.

During this work the Route 132 up ramp will be reduced to one lane. Users coming from Châteauguay should continue to use the detour road setup from Highway 138 in place since June.

In addition, access to Mercier Bridge will be slowed occasionally by traffic interruptions as work progresses.

We encourage travelers to use other South Shore bridges and the transit system during this construction period.
