MCK Announces Portfolio Changes

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke would like to announce that recently-elected Chief Clinton Phillips has accepted three portfolio assignments for the current term.

The decision was made at this week’s Council meeting. The portfolios include Health (formerly held by Chief Rhonda Lynn Kirby), Seigneury (former held by Chief Kahsennenhawe Sky-Deer) and Environment (Chief Martin Leborgne).

“I am pleased that my fellow chiefs have shown the confidence in me to assign me these important portfolios,” said Chief Phillips. “The learning curve will be quick, but everyone has been more than helpful and the support staff is extremely knowledgeable.”
