Communications Unit Seeks Focus Group Participants
10/06/2009
The Communications Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) is inviting families and/or individual community members to participate in a year-long pilot project to gauge public opinion on issues that affect Kahnawà:ke. This initiative will not be the same as typical surveys the MCK conducts from time to time. Those will continue as issues arise.
We are seeking at least 100 Kahnawa’kehró:non to take part in this project. Participants will be asked to commit to completing no more than one short opinion poll per month for a one year period, on various topics which affect our Community. Participants will be eligible to win one of three $50 Shop Kahnawake Gift Certificate prizes each month for completing the Poll.
In order for this initiative to be successful, it is paramount that a solid cross-section of the community takes part and provides the most honest and direct feedback possible. This is why we are asking people to sign-up. The results will be used as a tool for various MCK departments (including Chief and Council) but will NOT be the sole basis for decision-making.
In the interest of user-friendliness, participants will be given the options of completing their opinion polls by telephone, e-mail or online. Final results of all surveys will be made public.
Those interested in participating can contact the Communications Unit at 450 632 7500 or email ktv@mck.ca .
