Cycle of Ceremonies workshops available to community

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) Language & Culture Training Center is pleased to announce that a series of workshops on the Kanien"kehá:ka Aóhsera/Cycle of Ceremonies has been made available to the community.

The workshops aim to inform participants of the various traditional ceremonies/festivals conducted throughout the Kanien"kehá:ka ceremonial calendar year. The workshops also aim to encourage participants to attend these various longhouse ceremonies/festivals with confidence.

The first workshop entitled ‘The Enhatishestáta & Wáhta/Tapping the Trees & Maple’ is scheduled for Friday, February 19, Enníska / February from 1 pm to 4 pm at the MCK Language and Culture Training Center (first floor of K103).

All workshops are free and open to the community to attend but sign-up is required as space is limited.
