Social Development call for proposals

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke is inviting interested parties to submit proposals for organizing and facilitating community workshops that will be used for strategic planning of the Social Development Unit (SDU).
The ‘Blueprint Workshops’ will be designed to allow for input from community members towards the direction of Social Development programs and services. “We’re looking for a third party to organize and facilitate these workshops,” said Interim Director Alexis Shackleton. “Doing so will allow us to work closer with community members and focus on strategic planning.”
Proposals should include organization and facilitation of the four following departments:
1. Housing (restructuring of programs and products)
2. Social Assistance (direction, supplemental to the base programs)
3. Membership (Community Decision Making Process discussion points of consideration)
4. Mohawk Self Insurance (Community Decision Making Process discussion points of consideration)
The deadline for interested parties to submit proposals has been extended to Friday, 12, Enniskó:wa / March 2010 at 4 pm and should be clearly addressed to:
