MCK responds to rising traffic and safety issues on OCR

The Communications Unit has at its disposal, a wide variety of publicity tools to disperse the information to the Residents of Kahnawá:ke, local & external media, as well as non-resident Community Members.
The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) wishes to inform the community that it is addressing traffic and safety concerns on residential streets due to detours
The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) has been informed by the Ministère des Transports du Québec that work to install new overhead signs on Routes
The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) has been informed by the Jacques Cartier & Champlain Bridges Incorporated that inspection work will require the overnight closures
Regular office hours will resume on Tuesday, June 23rd, at 8:30am.
The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) would like to inform the community that all its administrative offices will be closed for Orange Shirt Day on Wednesday, September 30th.
Regular household Recycling pickup service and Compost collection will continue as usual. Please have your bins curbside by 7am. The Transfer Depot will be closed.
As the Town Garage will be closed, all cardboard drop-offs will be postponed to Thursday, October 1st.
All essential services will remain in operation. Regular business hours will resume on Thursday, October 1st, at 8:30am.
