500 turkeys to be distributed to community members

The Ratitsénhaienhs are pleased to announce that a total of 500 turkeys will be given away to community members throughout the day on Friday, December 19th, beginning at 10:30am. Distribution will take place at the Knights of Columbus Parking Lot until all turkeys have been given out. Two turkey sizes will be available: 6.6–11lbs (3–5kg) and 11–15lbs (5–7kg).

This initiative reflects the Ratitsénhaienhs ongoing commitment to support community members during the holiday season and encourage family and friends to spend time together.

The Kateri Food Basket will also receive turkeys for their clientele, and the remainder will be made available to community members on a first-come first serve basis.

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke wishes to inform the community that all its administrative offices will be closed for Rotiio’ténion Raonenhnísera, Labor Day on Monday, September 7th.

  • Transfer DepotCLOSED for the day
  • Town GarageCLOSED – All cardboard drop-offs postponed to Tuesday, September 8th

 

All essential services will remain in operation. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, September 8th, at 8:30am.
