The Office of the Kahnawà:ke Kanien’kehá:ka Registry (OKKR) wishes to inform the community that the following individual has applied for a Kahnawà:ke Residency Permit under section 10.3a of the Kahnawà:ke Residency Law; A person who has Onwehón:we ancestry and married to a Kanien’kehá:ka of Kahnawà:ke.

This notice will be posted for thirty (30) calendar days beginning Thursday, October 1, 2026. Written objections from recognized Kanien’kehá:ka of Kahnawà:ke must be submitted in person at the OKKR office no later than Saturday, October 31, 2026.

  • No Cardboard drop-offs
  • Transfer Depot will be closed
  • Recycling, compost, and cardboard pickup service will continue as usual

Regular office hours will resume on Tuesday, June 23rd, at 8:30am.

Orange Shirt Day office closure

Wednesday, September 30, 2026

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) would like to inform the community that all its administrative offices will be closed for Orange Shirt Day on Wednesday, September 30th.

Regular household Recycling pickup service and Compost collection will continue as usual. Please have your bins curbside by 7am. The Transfer Depot will be closed.

As the Town Garage will be closed, all cardboard drop-offs will be postponed to Thursday, October 1st.

All essential services will remain in operation. Regular business hours will resume on Thursday, October 1st, at 8:30am.
