Request for Proposals for the Kahnawà:ke Library and Mixed-Use Building

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) is seeking qualified Design Builders to submit proposals for the design and construction of the new Kahnawà:ke Library and Mixed-Use Building. The project aims to deliver a safe, durable, and accessible facility that will serve as the permanent home of the Kahnawà:ke Library.

The mixed-use building will also support Onkwata’karitáhtshera’s staff and client services, ensuring an efficient and functional space that meets community needs. Proponents are invited to bring forward comprehensive design build solutions that reflect these priorities.

A site visit will be held on Friday, October 16 at 10am ET, for questions and clarifications.

Written proposals must be submitted by email no later than Monday, November 2, 2026, at 2pm ET.

All questions or requests for clarification must be submitted in writing by email before the deadline specified in the Request for Proposals (RFP).

  • Transfer Depot will be closed

Orange Shirt Day office closure

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) would like to inform the community that all its administrative offices will be closed for Orange Shirt Day on Wednesday, September 30th.

Regular household Recycling pickup service and Compost collection will continue as usual. Please have your bins curbside by 7am. The Transfer Depot will be closed.

As the Town Garage will be closed, all cardboard drop-offs will be postponed to Thursday, October 1st.

All essential services will remain in operation. Regular business hours will resume on Thursday, October 1st, at 8:30am.
