Road work notice: Zachary Road

Road work notice: Zachary Road

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke wishes to advise the community that road improvement work on a portion of Zachary Road will begin Monday, October 19, 2026, and is expected to take approximately two weeks, weather permitting.

The work includes improving the road foundation followed by asphalt paving.

To maintain traffic flow and minimize disruptions, construction will be completed one side of the road at a time. There will be no full road closure; however, partial lane closures will be required, and access will be restricted to local traffic only. Access for residents will be maintained throughout the project.

Temporary traffic signage will be in place to help ensure the safety of motorists and construction personnel.

Residents are asked to exercise caution, reduce their speed, and follow directions from construction personnel when travelling through the work zone.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
