Community engagement on Seigneury of Sault St. Louis

Still Ours

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) is pleased to share a major and long overdue update regarding the Seigneury of Sault St. Louis and we invite all Kahnawa’kehró:non to come out and hear more.

In preparation of this development, we want to take the opportunity to check in with the community, hear your perspectives, and ensure we remain aligned with the community priorities and directions that we’ve been working with over the years.

Over the coming weeks, the MCK will provide updates and seek community feedback through a series of meetings, information kiosks, and direct community outreach.

The first opportunities to learn more and provide feedback will be:

MCK Open House – Wednesday, October 21st from 11am to 6pm at the Knights of Columbus

Community Meeting – Sunday, October 25th from 1pm to 4pm at the Kanatahkwènke Cultural Arts Center Community Room

Additional feedback opportunities will be announced and communicated in the near future. Kahnawa’kehró:non are strongly encouraged to participate and help inform the next steps on this longstanding file.

For more information, contact Ratsénhaienhs Ross Montour or Ohén:ton Í:rate ne Ratitsénhaienhs Cody Diabo.
