Organizational Development Unit

The Organizational Development Unit is responsible to plan and implement a strategy designed to develop and oversee its activities, roles and responsibilities, policies and procedures, and builds the organization’s ability to assess its current functioning, and plan and execute actions to achieve its goals.

About Us

The Organizational Development Unit (ODU) is overseen by the Executive Office and is mandated to govern over the strategy, scope, and standards that support the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) to build capacity to change and achieve greater operational effectiveness.

Facilitation of Initiatives

Comprehensive Community Planning and the Kahnawà:ke Shared Community Vision.

Strategic Planning and Implementation

Strategic Planning Facilitation, Action Planning, Operational Planning Facilitation, Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting, interventions related to strategic change management including assessments, plans, frameworks, assistance, guidance, and post-implementation feedback.

Project Management

Organizational design and development, and change projects.

Policy Management

Setting standards related to policy definition, communication, development, evaluation and revision process and schedule, quality review, and ensuring alignment between policies, procedures, and forms.

Organizational Standards, Governance, and Alignment

Coordination of projects and initiatives to set MCK standards for frameworks and projects related to organizational design and development, strategic planning, project management, and change management. This includes information gathering, analysis, action, documenting, reporting, evaluation, and revision.

Organizational Capacity Building and Engagement

Providing workshops, frameworks, tools, templates, checklists, and feedback that are related to organizational design and development, and change management.

Regulatory Compliance

Carry out inspections, develop orders, and support action in the event of non-compliance to existing community laws, regulations, and policies related to this mandate.
