Kahnawa’kehró:non Ratitsénhaienhs receive drug test results

Public Service Announcement

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke is pleased to report that all of the Kahnawa’kehró:non Ratitsénhaienhs have tested negative on a routine illicit drug test.

The urine sample testing was administered by an independent company hired for this purpose and verified for amphetamines, cocaine, barbiturates, and opiates.

Since 2004, mandatory drug testing has been done at the outset of the term of office for all Kahnawa’kehró:non Ratitsénhaienhs, for each election cycle. Since the implementation of this practice, no elected official has ever tested positive for any illicit substance.
