Justice Services Human Trafficking Prevention Workshop

Public Service Announcement

The Justice Services Division of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawake is inviting frontline workers, parents, and community members to join Ionkwatahonhsate Victims Services for an afternoon discussion on Human Trafficking on Tuesday, October 8, 2024.

The session is titled ′Learning How to Keep Our Children and Youth Safe′ and takes place at the Golden Age Club from 1pm – 4pm. The presenter will be Jo-Anne Van Hooser, the Anti-Human Trafficking Liaison with the Akwesasne Family Wellness Program.

Light refreshments will be served, and all community members are welcome to attend. Registration is optional but encouraged to ensure seating availability.

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke wishes to inform the community that all its administrative offices will be closed for Rotiio’ténion Raonenhnísera, Labor Day on Monday, September 7th.

Service Schedule for Labor Day:

  • Recycling & Compost CollectionWill continue as usual – Please place bins curbside by 7am
  • Transfer DepotCLOSED for the day
  • Town GarageCLOSED – All cardboard drop-offs postponed to Tuesday, September 8th

 

All essential services will remain in operation. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, September 8th, at 8:30am.
