Test of Emergency Alert Siren in LaSalle Wednesday

Public Safety Division Announcement

The Public Safety Division of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke wishes to advise the community that the Labatt Brewery in LaSalle will be participating in the annual alert siren test organized by the Montreal Civil Security Center.

The siren test is a technical test aimed at verifying the proper function of equipment and the state of preparedness of all emergency first responders.

The Labatt siren test is scheduled for Wednesday, May 8th between 9am and 3pm.

May 8th also marks the anniversary of the founding of the Red Cross. In recognition of the day, the Kahnawà:ke Fire Brigade will be flying the Red Cross flag beginning at 9am at the fire hall.

Service Schedule for Labor Day:

  • Recycling & Compost CollectionWill continue as usual – Please place bins curbside by 7am
  • Transfer DepotCLOSED for the day
  • Town GarageCLOSED – All cardboard drop-offs postponed to Tuesday, September 8th

 

All essential services will remain in operation. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, September 8th, at 8:30am.
