The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke Housing Unit, in partnership with the Caisse Populaire Kahnawà:ke, is presenting a Money Matters Workshop entitled “Budgeting & Mortgage Tips” for Kahnawa’kehró:non on Thursday, June 13, 2024, from 5:30 to 8:30pm at the Golden Age Club.
As a result of numerous community members’ suggestions received from focus groups and surveys, the Housing Unit is offering this free financial/mortgage workshop to help Kahnawa’kehró:non improve financial literacy. Topics will include:
- Budgeting tips and tricks
- Saving for and buying your first home
- Establishing your home selection criteria
- Choosing your mortgage and insurance
As incentives, there will be prizes to win, and catered food will be available.
