Periodic Heavy Rainfall Expected

Public Safety Division Announcement

The Public Safety Division wishes to inform the community that remnants of Tropical Storm Beryl will affect our area today through Thursday.

Rainfall amounts between 40 and 70 millimetres are expected, as well as moderate winds. In thunderstorms, rainfall amounts could locally exceed 100 millimetres.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Homeowners should prepare for power outages and ensure sump pumps are functioning properly.

Flood areas can be reported to the Kahnawà:ke Environment Protection Office using their Flooding Report App.
