The Mohawk Council of Kahnawake Housing Unit, in partnership with the Caisse Populaire Kahnawake, is reminding the community that a Money Matters Workshop entitled ′Budgeting and Mortgage Tips′ for Kahnawakehronon takes place next Thursday, June 13, 2024, from 5:30 to 8:30pm at the Golden Age Club.
As a result of numerous community members′ suggestions received from focus groups and surveys, the Housing Unit is offering this free financial/mortgage workshop to help Kahnawakehronon improve financial literacy. Topics will include:
- Budgeting tips and tricks
- Saving for and buying your first home
- Establishing your home selection criteria
- Choosing your mortgage and insurance
As incentives, there will be prizes and catered food available.
