The Lands Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawake wants to inform the community that it seeks a Community member to sit as a Community Representative on the Tioweroton Committee for a two-year term.
Interested applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- be eighteen (18) years of age;
- be on the Kahnawake Kanienkehaka Registry;
- possess interest and knowledge of the Tioweroton Territory;
- attend monthly and seasonal Tioweroton Community Meetings.
Interested community members should submit a letter of intent to the Tioweroton Manager outlining their desire to participate on the Committee. Letters must be submitted by 4pm on Friday, June 28, 2024 to Tara.mccomber@mck.ca.
A vote for the potential candidate will take place in July.
