Logs available for pickup from Arena Rink Project

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) would like to inform the community that wood from the recent tree removal is now available for community members.

For safety reasons, community members are asked to pick up the logs after 3pm, as the Capital Unit will be working in the vicinity until that time.

The logs are located at the arena rink work site behind the Sports Complex. Please refer to the map below, where the shaded area indicates the location of the logs. No standing trees are to be cut, only what is laying down can be taken.

The wood is for personal use by individuals in Kahnawà:ke and is NOT intended for resale. To prevent the spread of pests, including the Emerald Ash Borer, logs should NOT be transported to Tioweró:ton.

Logs are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Community members are encouraged to consider the needs of others and take only what they need. It is the responsibility of community members to organize the pickup and cut the logs to the appropriate size.
