REMINDER – Meet the Candidates Night this Tuesday

The Office of the Electoral Officer wishes to invite the community to Meet the Candidates Night taking place this Tuesday, June 25th, at the Knights of Columbus Hall from 6pm to 11pm.

All candidates will have five (5) minutes to speak to the community. This will be followed by a question-and-answer period after all candidates have presented their platforms. The speeches only portion of Meet the Candidates Night will be recorded and posted publicity for viewing at a later time.

The 2024 Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke Elections itself will be held on Saturday, July 6th, at Karonhian�nhnha Tsi Ionterihwaienst�hkhwa School gymnasium.

  • Transfer Depot will be closed
  • Recycling, compost, and cardboard pickup service will continue as usual

Regular office hours will resume on Tuesday, June 23rd, at 8:30am.

Orange Shirt Day office closure

Wednesday, September 30, 2026

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) would like to inform the community that all its administrative offices will be closed for Orange Shirt Day on Wednesday, September 30th.

Regular household Recycling pickup service and Compost collection will continue as usual. Please have your bins curbside by 7am. The Transfer Depot will be closed.

As the Town Garage will be closed, all cardboard drop-offs will be postponed to Thursday, October 1st.

All essential services will remain in operation. Regular business hours will resume on Thursday, October 1st, at 8:30am.
